Can you install carpet over a concrete subfloor?
Yes — with the right moisture assessment. Seattle basements on slab need a moisture check before carpet goes down; elevated moisture requires a vapor barrier or a different flooring choice entirely. We assess on-site and give you an honest answer before recommending carpet for below-grade spaces.
What pad thickness should I choose?
